Summer Brooke McMahan

Summer was born July 1st, 1993.  She is currently a junior at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC.  She is seeking a degree in Business and Entrepreneurship.  She has been playing the fiddle since she was 6.  By 8, she was traveling with her dad, brother and cousin most every weekend, all the while, growing her passion for music.  “I cannot imagine life without music.”  Summer says.  Summer’s role models for music are Alison Krauss, Lee Ann Womack and Sonya Isaacs.  Many have told her that she reminds them of Alison.  She was honored to meet Alison at IBMA a couple of years ago.  She has had the privilege to sing with Sonya at a local bluegrass festival.  Summer has a love for country music.  She has recently completed a solo project.  She is excited about what the future holds with music.  Summer is thankful for her salvation.  She feels blessed to have been a lot of places in the United States all because of music.  She has met many fine artists and musicians along the way.
